For certain objects, it is necessary to carry out a thorough visual appraisal. These appraisals are done by appointment throughout the year depending on the availability of Maître Philomène WOLF. Inventory at home in a voluntary setting
The inventory of your goods is drawn up by the auctioneer directly at your home when the number of your goods is large and/or if your situation requires it. This may concern all of your movable goods or a specific selection, in one or more places of residence.

Depending on the purpose, and if the inventory comes from your own initiative, it can be carried out according to different methods and issues:

You wish to carry out an inventory on a voluntary basis

The auctioneer or an expert travels to your home on prior estimate.

This is established from a fixed price corresponding to the service provided and any travel expenses. As far as possible, we invite you to send us by email photographs of your property to be appraised in order to assess the time needed to devote to the inventory.

During the inventory, each object will be described (nature, material, artist, period, condition, dimensions, etc.) and authenticated.

Following the inventory, additional research is carried out in order to provide you with the most accurate expertise possible. Other external experts may also be consulted in specific fields if necessary.

Finally, within 15 to 30 days depending on the volume of objects to be appraised, a written inventory file will be given to you including the numbered descriptive list of the goods as well as the corresponding estimates.

This inventory file can have different purposes depending on your situation.
 

1) Inventory for the purpose of estimation

The primary interest of the inventory is to draw up a list of the goods in your home in order to know their nature, quality, and current value on the art market. The inventory can be limited to this desire for information on the history and estimation of your goods.
